Due to our need to prepare for the coming season, even if we have snow in the domain Chalet Roches remains closed during October & November TERMS & CONDITIONS and FURTHER INFORMATION: 1. Making your booking: Formal bookings must be made by email or post (see '2. Booking Process' below) accompanied by a 25% deposit of the total holiday amount. Payment of the balance must be made no later than 6 weeks before arrival date. For bookings within 6 weeks of the arrival date, the full cost of the holiday is payable immediately. All deposits are non-refundable except when we are unable to accept your booking, as a result of double booking. Where payment is not made 6 weeks before arrival date pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches reserve the right to immediately cancel the holiday without further notice and the deposit shall be forfeited. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches shall be entitled to claim from you any sums up to the amount due under the terms of cancellation. 2. Booking Process Following an enquiry or note of interest, enquirers will be sent (usually by email) confirmation of availability and the relevant price which would be charged for the period concerned. Should such a communication not be forthcoming within 24hrs, please contact us and we will re-send. Normally included with the email will be a booking form for your use should you wish to proceed with placing a booking for a stay at Chalet Roches - such a booking form will be forthcoming when a client has stated their intention to make a confirmed booking. Receipt by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches of a completed booking form from a client by email or post shall constitute a contractual commitment on behalf of the client - consequently, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches may enforce cancellation terms and conditions at their discretion from the time and date of the receipt of such a document. Neither the email confirming availability nor the sending to a client of a booking form are contractual in any form on the part of pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches. Furthermore, it should be "completely understood" that all offers of accommodation, prices and/or any discounts quoted are strictly SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY, as all or part of the same period may have been offered to other parties. All enquirers should be aware that we operate on a rigid 'first come, first served basis. Therefore, until we receive a completed booking form we cannot guarantee availability in any way. Furthermore, following the receipt of a client booking form, we must receive funds to the amount requested on or before due dates or your booking may be at risk. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time should we not receive payments when due. No booking shall be deemed confirmed until pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches confirm in writing (usually by email) that they have received the appropriate booking form and funds to secure the booking. For more details please also see 'Alterations and/or Cancellation by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches' and 'Alterations and/or Cancellation by the client'. 3. Description of Goods and Services All descriptions on this website are given in good faith based on the information available to us and believed to be correct. The chalet is privately owned and does not have an official tourist classification. You should be made aware that in relation to the information given about the resorts and certain facilities, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches cannot guarantee accuracy at all times or that any particular activity will take place as these services are not under our control. 4. Personal Belongings pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches takes no responsibility for your personal belongings, money, travellers' cheques or passport, either inside or outside the chalet. 5. Alterations and/or Cancellation by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches: We reserve the right to make minor alterations to holiday and website details before and after any bookings have been confirmed. In the case of a minor alteration being made which has no direct affect on a clients booking or the services/facilities that we provide, we will not formally notify clients unless there is a pertinent reason to do so. In the event of a significant alteration to your booking with us, we will advise you at the earliest possible date. You may then accept the alteration or cancel your holiday and receive a full refund - any intent to cancel under such circumstances must be received in writing by email or post within 72 hours of our notification. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches will pay no compensation whatsover in addtion to any refund. In very rare circumstances it may be necessary for us to cancel the booking by you. If we do so you will receive a full refund of all the monies paid. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches accepts no legal liability and no compensation will be paid if we are forced to cancel, curtail or in any way change your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to war, civil unrest, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, adverse weather conditions and any other similar event. We accept no liability to compensate you for loss of opportunity to take or enjoy the holiday. 6. Alterations and/or Cancellation by the Client: Any alterations made to the booking except additions to the existing booking within 6 weeks of departure shall be deemed to be a cancellation of the existing booking and the cancellation charges set out in these terms and conditions may be levied. It may also be necessary to levy a small charge to process any alterations, although this will only occur where absolutely necessary. Cancellations will only be effective when pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches receives written notice of cancellation, signed by the person making the deposit. . Cancellation charges will be levied in terms of the number of weeks prior to the arrival date that a formal cancellation is received with a corresponding percentage of the total holiday client cost due as payment to pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches. Date of arrival and total holiday client cost being as that confirmed at the point of booking. The details of time periods and subsequent percentage charges are as follows: More than 6 weeks Full deposit (25% unless otherwise stated); 4 to 6 weeks 50%; 3 to 4 weeks 75%; Less than 3 weeks 100%. In addition to the cancellation charge pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches reserves the right to pass on any charges made by the suppliers of any services booked by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches on your behalf even when this exceeds the amount which would normally be charged under the scale of cancellation charges. Should a client/client group wish to change their flights and therefore their transfer times, please be aware that additional charges may apply in respect to any costs that pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches are forced to incur - please also see the subsequent section '16' (Complimentary Winter Transport/Airport Transfer). 7. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches Liability: pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches does not accept liability where there has been no fault on the part of pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches, its servants under its control nor where the events complained of are due to the events which neither pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches nor its suppliers could have foreseen. In the event of any liability being accepted pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches shall not be liable for more than the cost of the holiday accommodation. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches will not arrange your travel by air, rail, road or sea with the exception of 'Complimentary Winter Transport' †( see below). Accordingly pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches cannot accept any responsibility for loss or injury suffered as the result of the acts or omissions of the providers of such services. Such arrangements are entirely your responsibility and you should ensure that they are made through a reputable provider. If you have any reason for complaint during your holiday you must inform us immediately in order to allow pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches an opportunity to rectify the cause for complaint. Our representatives in the chalet are not authorised to promise any refund with respect to a client's complaint. If the complaint cannot be rectified please write to pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches giving all the relevant details of the complaint within 28 days of your return from holiday. We cannot accept any Liability in respect of any complaint, which is not notified entirely in accordance with this clause. 8. Client Liability: pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches is entitled to recover from you the cost of any damage caused by you or loss suffered as a result of your acts or omissions. We expect you to behave in such away as not to prejudice our reputation with our suppliers, our neighbours or other clients of pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches. If this clause is breached, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches has the right to terminate the contract with you with immediate effect and demand the immediate vacating of the chalet by any or all members of the party. 9. Dietary Requirements Chalet Roches catering seeks to use the highest quality ingredients, sourced wherever possible locally and organically. As well as our general menu for guests, we also offer a vegetarian option and we ask that guests inform us at the point of booking as to which, if any, members of their party wish to opt for vegetarian meals for the duration of their stay. PLEASE NOTE: The chalet does not have the ability to have separate preparation areas, mixing bowls, pans etc and as such it is not possible to guarantee the absence of ingredients to which some guests may be allergic e.g. nuts. Therefore, for the avoidance of doubt it should be understood that all guests take responsibility for all food consumed on the premises of Chalet Roches in terms of the potential for an allergic reaction. Furthermore, whilst we will always do our best to provide alternatives, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches that guests with 'allergies and/or food intolerances' may not be catered for specifically and as such may receive reduced meals. pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches reserve the right to charge a supplement to cover any additional costs of alternative foods for such food intolerances should we both be able, and choose to provide them. All dietary issues must be communicated clearly to pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches at the point of booking. 10. Insurance: All persons booking a holiday are required to have in place appropriate insurance in order to fully cover them for all eventualities throughout the duration of their holiday where accommodation or transport is provided at or by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches. Such insurance should cover the cost of cancellation by you, the cost of assistance and repatriation in the event of accident or illness and personal liability. Insurance premiums must be in place at the time of booking. If you do not take out an insurance policy, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches would not be responsible for any matters or consequences thereby arising. You will be further responsible for paying to and indemnifying pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches for such sums we choose to meet on your behalf. All persons booking a holiday with pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches should also be aware that they will be held liable for any damage directly or indirectly caused by them to the property, its fixtures, fittings or furniture, and as such pistepursuits.com/Chalets Roches advise that clients holiday insurance should encompass sufficient liability insurance to cover such eventualities. Such liability insurance should also cover injury to pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches staff and/or 3rd party's resulting from the actions or inactions of the insured person/s. 11. Health & Safety Bookings are accepted under the explicit understanding that in placing the booking, all clients understand and accept that mountain resorts are inherently dangerous places and accept full responsibility for their own safety, and that of any minors for which they are responsible for the full duration of their holiday. All clients accept at the point of booking that they must remain responsibile for their own safety, and that of any minors for which they are responsible whilst in and around the property known as 'Chalet Roches', and neither pistepursuits.com nor Chalet Roches may be held liable for any injuries or losses suffered by any client during their holiday, irrespective of the cause of that injury or loss. Use of any of the facilities, services or equipment (including the 'Chalet Minibus†) by clients at Chalet Roches shall be undertaken entirely at the clients own risk. It should be noted that in order to enhance guest safety and also comply with our insurers restrictions, during any period where a child under the age of 7 years is staying at the chalet, the wood burning open fire will not be lit and will remain unavalable for the entire duration of that childs stay at Chalet Roches. 12. Smoking pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches operates a no smoking policy. Should guests wish to smoke we respectfully ask that do so outside the property. 13. Chalet House Rules As with many alpine chalets, Chalet Roches operates with a list of 'Chalet House Rules' for all its guests to abide by, this being for the safety and wellbeing of all concerned. A detailed list of said 'Chalet House Rules' is available upon request both before and after any booking. Bookings should be made and will be accepted on the strict understanding that the party/parties making the booking accept the aforementioned 'Chalet House Rules' in full in addition to the Terms & Conditions given elsewhere on this website, and understand that any breach of said 'Chalet House Rules' may result in a breach of contract on the part of the guest/booking party/parties. 14. Third Party Goods and Services pistepursuits.com and Chalet Roches will on occasion and upon request, endeavour to locate, arrange, book or reserve local goods or services from third parties for and on behalf of clients. It should be clearly understood that any such activity undertaken by pistepursuits.com and/or Chalet Roches on behalf of clients, is done so purely as an act of goodwill for the benefit of clients. pistepursuits.com and Chalet Roches accept no responsibility whatsover for any goods or services so arranged, and all clients should clearly understand that any contract or liability resulting from such arrangements remains strictly between the client and the relevant third party providing the said goods or services. 15. ‡ Offers & Discounts From time to time, pistepursuits.com and Chalet Roches may offer certain discounts dependant on the circumstances of individuals and groups. Any such offers or discounts are made entirely at the discretion of pistepursuits.com and/or Chalet Roches and are strictly non-transferable. Furthermore, such offers or discounts shall have a validity of no more than 24hrs from the time there are formally communicated to a potential client, unless additional validity is specifically stated within such a communication or external publicity. In order to benefit from any such offers or discounts, a formal booking must be made with a completed booking form being received by pistepursuits.com or Chalet Roches within the valid time period stated for any given offer or discount. Where an offer or discount has been advertised publicly, any such offer or discount shall only apply to bookings which comply with the terms of the offer and our standard terms & conditions. Where a 'group' discount is offered, this is strictly conditional on each group booking taking full occupancy of the chalet, and for the avoidance of doubt, pistepursuits.com and Chalet Roches consider a 'group' and 'full occupancy' to constitute 8 persons paying the otherwise undiscounted full advertised per person rate as listed on www.pistepursuits.com. Group discounts may be varied at times to assist certain client groups (dependent on numbers), however, this is entirely at the discretion of pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches. No offers or discounts may be used in conjunction with any other or additional promotion at any time. pistepursuits.com and/or Chalet Roches reserve the right to withdraw any offers or discounts at any time without any prior notice. 16. † Complimentary Winter Transport/Airport Transfers Chalet Roches are pleased to provide our clients with the option of a complimentary airport transfer (Geneva Airport to resort & return) as well as limited transport when in resort. Such transfers and resort transport is provided without charge and is a service provided by Chalet Roches for the exclusive benefit of clients staying at the chalet. Transport is provided on a 'group' basis, with a only one trip from Geneva Airport to Chalet Roches (and return on departure) being provided per booking/group, unless separately and specifically agreed in writing. Please note that due to our operating a single minibus, under normal circumstances arrival transfers will be provided for flights arriving between the hours of 12:00hrs & 20:00hrs and departure transfers for flights departing between 09:00hrs & 13:00hrs unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Clients requiring transfers outside of the aforementioned hours may be required to use the services of a third party transfer company at their own cost for that particular leg of the journey. Individual Bookings Please Note: Where partial chalet and individual room bookings are accepted by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches it should be clearly understood by all parties involved in such bookings, that the complimentary transfers will be shared with other clients travelling to Chalet Roches. Therefore, where such transfers are shared, clients arriving at Geneva airport should expect a short delay in departing for resort whilst clients on other flights arrive and clear through customs - such delays will normally be limited to 1 hour, but prevailing airport circumstances such as (but not limited to) flight delays may on rare occasions extend such waiting times. In addition, where complimentary transfers will be shared, return transfers to Geneva may need to depart for all clients at an appropriate time for the clients with the earliest departing flight to travel to Geneva airport which may be significantly earlier than your own. However, we will always endeavour to co-ordinate clients flights and transfers to the best of our ability. Transport is provided on the strict understanding that all clients utilising this service do so entirely at their own risk, and any minors using such transport do so on the strict understanding that their parent, guardian or group leader takes full responsibility for such minors' using the service and their individual safety. Chalet Roches will usually provide this service directly by means of a minibus either permanently or temporarily in their possession. However, Chalet Roches reserves the right to provide such transport via alternative means and in extreme circumstances may need to temporarily withdraw this service - in such an event, alternative solutions will be either made available to clients or advice given as to appropriate methods of travel available to said clients. In resort transport is strictly limited to transport of all clients as a group from Chalet Roches to an agreed main lift within the Evasion Mont Blanc ski domain, and a return journey from an agreed collection point to Chalet Roches, again as a group . Such trips shall be made in one complete journey from the Chalet between the hours of 08:00 and 10:00, and returning to the Chalet from the pre-arranged collection point between the hours of 16:00 and 18:30. Dependant upon prevailing circumstances, Chalet Roches may agree to vary the structure of the in resort transport arrangements for the benefit of clients, but this will be done entirely at the discretion of Chalet Roches. The service of complimentary transport by Chalet Roches is not a commercial offering nor is it offered for any specific financial return. Consequently, no financial value is attached to the provision or none-provision of this service. Should a client/client group change their flights (inbound or outbound or both) Chalet Roches reserve the right to provide client transfers in such cases via a 3rd party company and to pass on any charges incurred thereby to the relevant client/client group. Where possible every effort will be made to avoid such charges becoming neccessary, but when such services are required, the relevant client/client group will be obliged to pay for such services in full. 17. **Sauna & Outdoor Hot-tub (available winter only) As with all our facilities, clients use of the Sauna & Hot-tub is entirely at their own risk. Under no circumstance may alcohol be consumed during the use of the sauna or hot-tub. Furthermore, for the safety of all our clients and staff, no glassware or other breakable items may be taken to the hot-tub or sauna under any circumstances. It is also important that our clients understand that due to the energy/fuel used to power both of these facilties, these facilities are provided 'on request'. We therefore ask that should clients wish to use either or both facilities on any given day, that they notify us of their intent before the end of breakfast on the same day. Furthermore, should either facility be requested and then go unused without prior notice from any part of the client group, or should any member of your party misuse either of these facilities, Chalet Roches reserves the right to withdraw either or both these facilities from use for the remainder of the week/client stay in question. We of course hope that this is never required, but that nevertheless our clients understand the need for this measure in order to prevent the unnecessary waste of energy and associated pollution, as well as ensure the health and safety of all our clients. For further details on this and related issues, please consult the Chalet Roches 'House Rules' which are available on request. PLEASE NOTE: Weather conditions may on very rare occassions make the 'outdoor' Hot-tub unavailable. Neither of these facilities is availabe for use on the day of arrival, the day of departure or the day of the chalet hosts day off. 18. Check-in & Check-out As is usual with holiday accommodation, Chalet Roches operates with specific check-in and check-out times and procedures. Check-in is available from 14:00hrs on the day of arrival, and check-out is by 10:30hrs on the day of departure. Guests must have vacated their rooms by the aforementioned check-out time along with all their luggage and personal possessions. Whilst the aforementioned check-in and check-out times are to be strictly adhered to, it is often possible to store luggage for guests outside of these times where appropriate. However, it should be strictly understood by all clients, that any luggage or personal possessions left in such circumstances are done so entirely at the owners risk and neither pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches can take any responsibility whatosever for the safekeeping of any such items so deposited. 19. Lost Luggage / Forgotten Items Should any client leave any item at Chalet Roches, upon the discovery of such an item by staff, pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches may at their  discretion attempt to re-unite such items with their rightful owners. However, any costs incurred by pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches in doing so must be met by the client concerned and neither pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches can take any responsibility whatosever for the safekeeping or safe transport of any such items. 20. Chalet Induction It is a condition of booking, that for Health & Safety requirements, shortly after arrival all clients should attend a briefing provided by  pistepursuits.com/Chalet Roches regarding the use of the chalet, its facilities, transport and accommodation. Furthermore, all clients should note that instructions and advice given during such a briefing should be adhered to at all times unless formal instruction to do otherwise is given by a representative of Chalet Roches.
